meet your Jacksonville Women's Health provider
A well-woman exam focuses on your reproductive and sexual health. At NOLA Care, we can combine your well-woman exam and your annual physical into one visit so your preventive screenings and general health are managed together.
Your well-woman exam includes a full review of your health, a physical exam, and preventive screenings based on your age and needs. This may include a Pap smear, breast exam, and bloodwork or STI testing if needed. It’s also a chance to discuss contraception, cycle changes, and any health concerns with your provider.
Most women should schedule a Pap smear every 3 years starting at age 21, or more often if recommended by your provider. During your visit, we’ll review your history and guide you on the right screening schedule for your specific health needs.
All women’s health exams at NOLA Care are performed by our board-certified family nurse practitioner, Ashley Russell, DNP. You’ll always see the same provider who takes time to listen, explain each step, and answer your questions.
Yes. We offer menopause management that includes lifestyle guidance, lab testing when needed, and treatment options to help with hot flashes, sleep changes, mood shifts, and other symptoms. Our goal is to help you feel balanced and supported through every stage of life.
We provide primary care services, preconception counseling, and early pregnancy confirmation visits, but we do not offer full prenatal or obstetric care. Once pregnancy is confirmed, we’ll help connect you with a trusted OBGYN in Jacksonville for ongoing prenatal visits.
If you’re pregnant and need care for common illnesses or non-pregnancy-related concerns, you’re always welcome to come in — we’ll treat you just like any other primary care visit. After your baby arrives, you’ll continue postpartum follow-ups with your OBGYN, and NOLA Care can support your ongoing mental and physical health as you adjust to life with your little one. You can also bring your little one in to be seen in our pediatric primary care visits.
